First, IsCham would like to wish everyone a Happy Passover, and Labor Day Holiday! April has been full of exciting events hosted and attended by IsCham. In the begining of the month we had the opportunity to thank our sponsors at our annual Ambassador Reception dinner, IsCham hosted a seminar about E-commerce opportunities in China, and co-organized an event about Israeli innovative water technologies. Our team attended various conferences (mentioned below) in order to share and spread important information among our members.

On April 5th, IsCham held its Annual Sponsor Dinner. The Israeli Ambassador, Mr. Matan Vilnai, and his wife Mrs. Anat Vilnai hosted a reception dinner at the Embassy resident for all IsCham's sponsors. The dinner was an intimate event, providing a special opportunity to develope into deeper and more detailed discussion with the Ambassador, as well as with other attendees from variety of industries, backgrounds and experiences. IsCham also hosted two artists from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, and musician Ahuva with her two stringed erhu who greatly contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. |

E-Commerce opportunities in China seminar, April 6th, 2016 |

IsCham held a seminar together with our member Salmon, a Global E-Commerce service provider that defines and delivers market-changing commerce strategies and solutions for the world's leading brands, together with the economic Mission of the Israeli Embassy in Beijing on the topic of E-Commerce opportunities in China. At this event, Mr. Chaim Martin, Head of the Israel Economic Mission to China gave an insigthful introduction to E-Commerce in China: The Chinese consumer profile, platoforms for E-Commerce, delivery and warehouse, costumes, administration laws and regulations. |

Mr. Tony Chen, Salmon China CEO, presented Salmon Company solutions for E-Commerce marketing and discussed the advantages of the Internet and the E-Commerce Policy. Ms. Maureen Liu, Salmon China Strategic Alliance & Marketing Manager, shared Salmon's insights about how to find Business opportunities in Cross Border E-Commerce and share Study Cases from the E-Commerce world. |

On April 5th, IsCham hosted Venus IVY Bilingual Kindergarten children and teachers at IBCC at 798. The children visited the "Symiosis" co-creation Painting Exhibition by David Gerstein & Otmar Alt, and had the chance to try and paint similar works themselves. This was a great cultural exchange that allowed us to reach out to the local community and expose the younger generation to Israeli art and culture. |

On April 8th, IsCham'm team attended PwC's bi-annual MNC executives breakfast. At the event, PwC hosted Mr. Shen Jinsheng, Vice Bureau Chief of MOFCOM, who shared with the audience the progress of the opening up and related policy steps. Mr. Shen was accompanied by Mr. ZHAO Hui, current Director of the Commercial Service Industry Development and Coordination Department. At the event the PwC team also shared the latest findings from PWC's China executive summary of PwC's 19th Annual Global CEO Survey: Redefining business success in a changing world.

On April 18th, AST together with IsCham had held a seminar duscussing the water challenges in China and ways of solutions with Israeli innovative technologies. Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Matan Vilnai, Ambassador of Israel in China, Mr. Ophir Gore, Head of Trade & Investments Missions at the Embassy, Mr. Song Ling, VP of China GEZHOUBA Group and Chairman of China GEZHOUBA Group Investment Holding, Mr. Zhang Ximing, Senior Water Resources Specialist from The World Bank, Ms. Iris Arbel, Managaing Director of RBL Consulting, Mr. Boaz Shitzer, and Ms. Song Yujie, Process & Projects Department Manager from AST, Co Founder & CEO of AST Israel. |

With over 80 attendees and fascinating speeches, the event was extremely successful. Mr. Ophir Gore discussed the Istaeli water sector and current cooperation with China, Mr. Song Ling discussed development opportunities for big water players in Chinese market, Ms. Iris Arbel shared insights on how to cooperate with Israeli technology companies and innovation start-ups, Mr. Boaz Shitzer talked about AST as private post incubator platfrom, and Ms. Song Yujie shared Rotec, WellToDo, AOP innovative solution-technologies, integration and case studies.

On April 27th, IsCham was invited to attend the Celebration of Hainan Airlines Beijing>>Tel Aviv Inaugural Flight, all the guests including the Chinese Ambassador in Israel, His Excellency Mr. Zhan Yongxin, Israeli Ambassador in China, His Excellency Mr. Matan Vilnai, Chairman of Hainan Airlines Mr. Xin Di, Chinese actor/Israel tourism ambassador Mr. Liu Ye announced the inaugural flight and witnessed the signing ceremony of Israel Ministry of Tourism and Hainan Airlines and Caissa Touristic.
On April 28th, the Beijing=Tel Aviv inaugural flight of Hainan Airlines arrived to the Ben Gurion International Airport! IsCham send our congratulations to Hainan Airlines and wish the Beijing=Tel Aviv flight a great success! |

Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) Beijing is on board! |

IsCham attended the grand event of GMIC-Global Mobile Internet Conference in Beijing on April 28th. GMIC attracts the top players from mobile interenet in China for example Tencent, Baidu and Xiaomi, etc, as well as international companies to join the conference and exhibition. Mr. Ophir Gore, Head of Trade & Investment Mission from the Embassy of Israel in Beijing presented Tel Aviv as a vibrant and innovative city at the Global Mayors Forum, Yossi Vardi the Israeli entrepreneur and investor shared the Israeli model to audiences and encouraged young entrepreneurs to be innovative in their business.
