Mr. Ophir Gore and Mr. Chaim Martin will share their working plan for 2017 including conclusions of the recent Investments, Innovation and Technology Summit, about Agritech, Watec, CMEF and MedInIsrael. They will elaborate more about their future plans and activities for 2017 including the Free Trade Agreement.

Mr. Ofer Peleg will talk about the past year and the next year plans: the Financial Protocol, the New AIIB Bank, PPP and infrastructure projects in Israel.

    Ophir Gore

    Head of Trade & Investments Mission at Embassy of Israel in Beijing, China

    Mr. Gore is the Head of Trade & Investments Mission at the Embassy of Israel in Beijing, China, since August 2014. During the years 2012-2014 he served as the Director of the Renewable Energy & Alternative Fuels Department at Israel NewTech - The Israeli National Energy & Water Program, Ministry of Economy.

    Until 2012, Ophir served for 4 years as the Israeli commercial attaché to Taiwan. Ophir had also served in the Middle East & North Africa Department, Foreign Trade Administration, and as the assistant to the Director of the Foreign Trade Administration, at the Ministry of Economy.

    Prior to that, Ophir also served as an Attorney in the Legal Department for Special Cases at the Tax Authority, Ministry of Finance. He is a Graduate of Tel-Aviv University, Faculty of Law, (LL.B, LL.M).

    Head of the Economic Mission at Embassy of Israel in Beijing, China

    Chaim Martin is the head of the Economic Mission in the embassy of Israel in Beijing. He and his team assist Israeli companies to deal with the various regulation issues in China, and promote trade in heavily regulated sectors such as Life science related trade, Cosmetics and food supplements. Chaim was sent to China as a representative of Israel's ministry of Economy.

    In his previous position Chaim coordinated all commercial activities Israel initiated with International Financial Institutions such as the World Bank, The IDB and the EBRD. His main goal was to promote Israeli companies participation in international projects. In his position he exposed many Israeli companies to the opportunities that lay in major projects taking place in third world countries.

    After his studies of Economics in Israel's Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Chaim worked in a financial consultancy company, consulting to various government offices in Israel.

    During his military service in the IDF Chaim served as a commander in the 101 battalion in the Paratroopers brigade.

    Today Chaim lives in Beijing with a wife and two daughters.

    Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs at Embassy of Israel in Beijing, China

    Mr. Ofer Peleg is the first Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of the Israeli embassy in Beijing. He was recently sent to Beijing on behalf of the Ministry of Finance to lead a newly established and permanent financial and economic delegate.

    Mr. Peleg holds a master’s degree (MBA) in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Economics, both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

    Mr. Peleg served 16 years in numerous senior positions in the Ministry of Finance, both in the Accountant General Department and in the Capital Market, Insurance and Savings Department as CFO of the Ministry of Transport, CFO of the Water and Sewage Authority, CFO of the ARO (the largest Agriculture Research Organization in Israel) and Head of the Domestic Debt Department in the Government Debt Management Unit.

    Mr. Peleg has participated in various committees in the Transport, Agriculture and Water sectors, including many PPP projects (roads, light rail and desalination).
