    Consul General of Israel in Shanghai

    Amikam Levy arrived in Shanghai to take up the post of Consul General of Israel in Shanghai in January 2016. He leads the Israeli Government's engagement in East China: Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and Jiangxi. Mr. Levy was Head of Inspection and Audit Department, titled Ambassador in the Foreign Ministry before his latest appointment.

    Mr. Levy joined the Foreign Ministry in 1974 and served in numerous positions in the Ministry-after leaving the IDF where he reached the rank of Major. He was the Consul-General of Israel in HKSAR and Macao SAR from 2008 to 2013, and the Head of Regional Administration office for Asia and Africa, titled Ambassador at the Ministry from 2003 to 2008, the Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam and Laos from 2001 to 2003. He previously served at Israeli Embassies and Consulates in Washington, Rome and Stockholm. In addition, Mr. Levy was the CEO for Asia external relations in Weizmann Institute for Science.

    Mr. Levy holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration in Turo College Jerusalem.

    Mr. Levy is native in Hebrew and he also speaks English, Italian and Swedish. He is married with three children.

    David Brodet

    Chairman at Leumi Group

    David Brodet was appointed Chairman of Leumi Group in August 2010. He also serves as Chairman of Leumi USA and as President of the Association of Banks in Israel.

    Prior to that, Mr. Brodet held numerous positions during his 30-years of service in the Israeli Government, including Director General of the Finance Ministry, National Budget Director, Senior Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Head of the Economic Planning Authority.

    Mr. Brodet also served on numerous Government committees, including in the areas of Defense, National Insurance and the Israeli Capital Markets.

    In addition, David Brodet has held the position of Chairman of the Boards of Bank Mizrachi and Bank Tefahot, Yes Satellite Television and Blue Square, inter alia. Mr. Brodet also served as an External Director on the board of the Israel Corporation and Direct Insurance, and was chairman of the Investments Committee of Makefet Pension Fund and Provident Fund Ltd. and Ha'al Pension Fund.

    Mr. Brodet has held many public posts including Chairman of the Board of Hadassah Hospital, Chairman of the Administrative Board of Ben-Gurion University, amongst others.

    Mr. Brodet is also a lecturer at several prestigious academic schools, including the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, The School of Business Administration at Ben-Gurion University, the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya and the National Defense College.

    Mr. Brodet holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and an M.A. in Economics, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

    David Brodet is married and has two children.

    Mrs. Wang Wei started working at People’s Bank of China, then worked with Ministry of Finance of China for 18 years. During these years in MOF, her responsibilities cover a wide range, from policy dialogue to operation management, from multilateral & bilateral financial cooperation to financial and risk management, and performance evaluation of IFI loans. She also worked as an adviser to the Chinese Executive Director in the World Bank ED office. She has gained rich experience in ODA related matters.

    Minister of Finance & Economic Affairs and Head of Financial Department at Embassy of Israel in Beijing

    Mr. Ofer Peleg is the first Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of the Israeli embassy in Beijing. He was recently sent to Beijing on behalf of the Ministry of Finance to lead a newly established and permanent financial and economic delegate.

    Mr. Peleg holds a master’s degree (MBA) in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Economics, both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

    Mr. Peleg served 16 years in numerous senior positions in the Ministry of Finance, both in the Accountant General Department and in the Capital Market, Insurance and Savings Department as CFO of the Ministry of Transport, CFO of the Water and Sewage Authority, CFO of the ARO (the largest Agriculture Research Organization in Israel) and Head of the Domestic Debt Department in the Government Debt Management Unit.

    Mr. Peleg has participated in various committees in the Transport, Agriculture and Water sectors, including many PPP projects (roads, light rail and desalination).

    Ohad Maimon is heading the Strategy & Business Development division at Leumi Card.

    Mr. Maimon is leading the innovation and business developments teams, and is responsible for the implementation of the "Open Innovation" program in Leumi Card. Also, Mr. Maimon is responsible for the design and execution of Leumi Card's long term strategy, including exploring expansion opportunities in both existing and new business lines.

    In addition, Mr. Maimon is in charge of managing the project teams which are tasked with the implementation of new products.

    Prior to that, Mr. Maimon was a partner in Tadmor-Levy & Co., a leading Israeli Law firm. Mr. Maimon has special expertise in Payments, including credit cards, e-payments, e-commerce and crypto currencies.

    Mr. Maimon holds a LL.B (cum laude) and LL.M in Law, both from the Tel Aviv University. Ohad Maimon is married and has three children.

    Yu Huizi currently holds the positions of executive secretary of Shanghai Zhangjiang Development Strategy Research Institute, executive secretary of Shanghai Low-Carbon Technology & Industrial Development Association and executive director of Shanghai RDR Institute. He is also the founder of Shanghai Zero Carbon Investment, Shanghai Huixin Financial Information Services and Shanghai RDR Innovation Services.

    Mr. Yu has been long engaged in the fields of technology commercialization, carbon finance, carbon standards & policies, and human capital with abundant practical experiences. As the core person in charge, Mr. Yu led a number of key projects sponsored by Shanghai Association for Science and Technology Foundation, such as “Shanghai low-carbon technology, industry and capability development report”, “Research on Shanghai low-carbon technology and industrial development index and evaluation system”. Mr. Yu is the main initiator of China voluntary carbon emissions standards and developed China's first carbon trading project in construction sector. Many of the research results under his leadership were adopted by CPC Central policy Research Office, State Council Research Office and other relevant government agencies. In addition, he is a contributor to a series of books on the subject of “low-carbon”, including “Climate Diplomacy”, "Low-carbon Industrial Policy”, "Climate Finance” and "Low-Carbon Taxation Policy”.

    Dean at School of Economics, Fudan University

    Professor Zhang is one of the leading economists in China who publishes widely. Recent academic contributions have been to The World Economy, China Economic Review, Economic Systems, Journal of Asian Economics, East Asian Review, etc. Over the past 20 years he has authored or edited numerous books on the Chinese economy.

    Professor Zhang is also a respected commentator on the Chinese economy, and is writing regularly to Project Syndicate and Financial Times Chinese version. His views on the Chinese economy have been widely cited by mass media, including Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, South China Morning Post. He has also been frequently interviewed by TVs such as CNN, BBC, KBS, PBS, and so on.

    Professor Zhang is a seasoned speaker who shares with his audience in-depth analysis on the Chinese economy. He speaks fluent English and has addressed to Wilton Park Conference, St. Gallen Symposium, Asia Casa, Forbes Forum, Global Financial Forum, Asan Forum, J-China Forum, The Danish Top Executive Business Summit, Shanghai Forum, The Asian Leadership Conference, etc.
