Ofer Peleg
Minister Finance & Economic Affairs at Embassy of Israel in BeijingMr. Ofer Peleg is the first Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs of the Israeli Embassy in Beijing. Sent to China in August 2015 on behalf of the Ministry of Finance of Israel to lead a newly established and permanent financial and economic delegate.
Mr. Peleg is also an Alternate Director of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Mr. Peleg has over 20 years of global experience across the private and public sectors, as well as with Multilateral Development Banks.
He has served in numerous senior positions in the Ministry of Finance of Israel: In the Capital Market, Insurance and Savings Department, in the Accountant General Department and as CFO of the Ministry of Transport, the Water Authority and the ARO - The Agriculture Research Organization - Volcani Center.
Mr. Peleg participated in various committees in the Transport, Agriculture and Water sectors, including many committees of PPP projects (roads, light rail and desalination).
Mr. Peleg holds a Master’s degree (MBA) in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Economics, both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Eyal Shimoni
Chief Representative at Bank LeumiMr. Eyal Shimoni was appointed by the board as the Chief Representative when the bank decided to open the representative office in China in 2011. Mr. Shimoni heads the representative office and manages all the activities of Bank Leumi in China. Prior to that, Mr. Shimoni held numerous positions in Leumi Group including vice president for strategy and business development at Leumi Card, CEO at Leumi Check, and countrywide sales manager at Leumi Card. Before joining Leumi Group, Mr. Shimoni had worked for Teleclal as the vice president of marketing and sales. Mr. Shimoni joined IsCham in 2014.
Mr. Shimoni holds a B.A. of Economics from The Tel Aviv College of Management and a MBA from The University of Manchester. Mr. Shimoni studied Chinese from Fudan University after coming to China, can speak Hebrew, English, Arabic and Chinese.
